Darcie Bailey

Darcie Bailey joined Eltron R&D in February 2011.  Her current responsibilities include development and scale-up of Eltron’s advanced membrane system for hydrogen separation as well as process modeling and techno-economic analysis of Eltron’s H2 membrane technology.

Prior to joining Eltron, Darcie was a Senior Process Engineer at Eastman Kodak / Carestream Health for seven years.  Her primary responsibilities were capital project design and management for process improvements as well as new products in photographic film manufacturing.  Before that, Darcie worked for ten years as a Senior Engineer at Dow Chemical in Texas, where her responsibilities included the design, construction, and start-up of a grass-roots specialty chemicals plant.  Earlier as a Research Engineer at Dow, she designed, built, and operated a solid acid catalyst pilot plant and prepared a preliminary design and economic analysis of a full-scale plant process.   Her work at Dow included process modeling of nitrobenzene, amine, and isocyanate manufacturing processes.  She has broad experience creating project requirements, preparing project scopes, working with Engineering and Construction contractors for detailed process design work, and petrochemical plant operations support.   She received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Kansas State University.
