Business Development Manager

Damon Waters is the Business Development Manager at Eltron Research & Development Inc.  Eltron has been developing and commercializing novel technologies for 27 years. Mr. Waters joined the company in 2006 and is responsible for technology commercialization, relationship development and intellectual property management.

Mr. Waters has 12 years of experience commercializing early stage technology including product development, intellectual property licensing, joint development projects and new venture creation. Prior to joining Eltron, Damon spent five years transitioning University technology assets to the marketplace though 7 new start-up companies and more than 20 license agreements. In 1999, he co-founded a software company based in Austin, Texas.  AGEA, a Sun Microsystems Portfolio company, raised over $10 million in venture capital and was acquired by a public company in 2002.

Mr. Waters holds bachelor’s degrees in engineering and economics from Duke University, as well as a master’s degree in engineering management from Duke.
