CHRISTOPHER L. MAROTTA, Senior Scientist
Dr. Marotta is working under Dr. Michael T. Carter, head of the sensors group at Eltron. Currently he is working on the electrochemical detection of heavy metals using electrodes modified with nanostructured clay mineral thin films. He is also involved in the development of MEMs-based infrared emitters used for detection of chemical warfare agents. Dr. Marotta formally worked on synthesizing conductive polymers that wrap around carbon nanotubes to facilitate their dispersion in epoxies and to act as a reinforcing agent.
