Eltron routinely tests a variety of catalytic materials under plug flow, mixed, and other conditions. We have experience with tubular, continuously stirred tank, and fluidized bed reactor configurations and have a sufficient number of each reactor type (ten tubular, seven CSTR, and two fluidized bed) allowing for simultaneous evaluation of several catalyst samples. Eltron has the ability to test sample sizes ranging from a few milligrams of material to full scale monolithic catalysts. We are also well versed in the preparation and testing of a variety of catalyst forms and shapes. These range from soluble homogeneous catalysts to conventional solid catalysts, nanocatalysts, and monolithic catalysts. We also test catalyst materials under actual operating conditions, e.g., in diesel engine exhaust and in unusual configurations (as coatings or in non-traditional geometries). Our experts in this area will work with customers to develop the best testing methods for the specific application, including standard and custom conditions. Eltron also has numerous analytical services to enable post-test analysis of catalysts samples.
